Take the A961 to Kirkwall and follow the A965  Stromness road. Drive through the village of Finstown, go up the hill and turn right to take the A986 signposted Dounby Harray Birsay.
You will go through Harray first.
As you drive into Dounby ( the village is signposted) go past the Co-operative supermarket & petrol station on the left, then look for the major left turn which is Swartland Road.
Merrenglee is the 3rd bungalow on your right with a white conservatory at the front.

Take the A965 and then do a left turn on to the A967.
Bear right on to the B9057 Vetquoy Road.
This road takes you directly to the crossroads in Dounby village.
Turn left at the crossroads, go past the Co-operative supermarket & petrol station on the left, and then look for the major left turn, which is Swartland Road.
Merrenglee is the 3rd bungalow on your right with a white conservatory at the front.
